Inconvenience
Yourself. Try to avoid taking advantage of some "modern
conveniences" in order to add more physical activity into your life:
Instead of using a drive-up window, walk into the bank or dry cleaners.
Make a "lap" around the outer aisles of the grocery store before
beginning your shopping. Bypass the elevators and escalators and take
the stairs. Park as far away from the door as you can. Walk to pick-up
your lunch instead of having it delivered. Get off the bus a few stops
from your destination so that you can walk part of the way (or walk a
few blocks before boarding). Skip the shuttle and walk to your gate at
the airport.
